We teamed up with REIFY to build an immersive augmented reality experience for Spotify + Syfy Channel at the Spotify House to launch the Syfy’s show Hunters.
A custom AR app let guests see with ‘Hunter Vision’ by exploring a bunker with hidden AR Markers on it’s walls. Each marker triggered patterned cymatic visuals and immersive audio, which could be viewed in AR on an iPad. The app was also equipped with Facial Recognition, so you could see if you’re friends were humans or Hunters in disguise.

The biggest challenge was making the real time 'Hunter Vision' matched the show titles. We spoke with the production company who created the pre-rendered 'Hunter Vision' and discussed the techniques they used so we could reproduce them in real time.

The App in action. Tutorial screens walk you through the experience, then you enter Hunter Vision mode. Note the FPS counter in the upper left, as this was still a WIP screen capture.
When the app recognized a cymatic AR marker it would play an animation and audio alien clicks.
